Got here a few days. Tumblr is blocked. Gotta buy something called a VPN so that I can unlock the american sites. Then I’ll start posting regularly again.
Update soon hopefully.
GEORGE AND JONATHAN →
Jon Baken and I started skating my freshman year of college. Didn’t hear his music till a few months ago, but I’m hooked.
Baken makes video game music with a guy named George and it’s mind blowing. They work together in NY when they’re both home over breaks. I think George goes to UCLA. Baken goes to Drexel here in Philly.
ANYWAY, they put out an album found here:...
SLUTEVER - Sorry I'm Not Sorry →
So 2 of my friends from west philly put out an EP. It’s free and it’s really really good. I’ve known Rachel and Nicole for a few years and I’m psyched to see that they’re killing it. It’s really messy, dirty punk rock with a feel almost like Wavves or something. They sing about sex, dysfunctional relationships, and talking shit on dudes. They’re...

Bumps
Woke upĀ early on Friday to go get my visa from the Chinese consulate in NYC. Paperwork wasn’t right, wasted $60 and 6 hours of travel time. Came home empty handed. I started thinking “Is this a sign telling me not to go to China? Am I not supposed to do this?”
2 of my good friends and some kook they were with saw me at the skate park a few days earlier. They left after a bit...
Next Step
Shit has been wild lately. School’s been fine, skating a bunch, getting ready for my next adventure. In 3 weeks I leave for Shanghai, China. I’ll be working there for 6 months.
My homie Justen got me in contact with this dude named Johnny who does a blog called Legion of Sorts. We’ve been sending messages back and forth and we’re gonna skate when I get out there.

Rainy Days
Trip was pretty fun. We skated with some friends in baltimore and spent the night there. Drove down to North Carolina. Guys at Endless Grind were rad. We went to UNC and Andre hurt his ankle pretty bad. We drove him back to Baltimore the next day and then me and CJ flew down to Florida.
Got to go skate and go to the beach all day everyday. It was nice getting a chance to relax. CJ’s sister...

Been skating here and there lately. Mini ramp at this kids house on Lahaina side, Kihei park a little and we just went to Hana. There was a skate jam there, but it was pretty lame. Skated a six 6 foot mini with an 11 foot vert extension which was super nuts. So fun.
At the jam there was a 6 flat 6 double set. Tried kickflip like 5 times. Stuck it bolts the one time but still ate it....

Deadly Tsunami in Maui
It’s Sunday morning in Maui. On Friday we met James (the guy from Seattle mentioned in a previous post) and some guys down at the park in Kihei. Left around 9:30 at night to drive back and heard on the radio that due to the earthquake in Chile there was a tsunami warning issued in the state of Hawaii. Saturday morning my parents and I woke up to go on a raft/snorkel tour at 5:30am. As we got...
Tired
Parents got here yesterday. Super hyped on it. Got up at 3AM today and went to Haleakala. Had to work a full day after that. Totally worth it. I’m going to dinner soon with them and later I think I’m going to Moose’s to drink with the interns.
The local attitude is shitty here. All the local guys think they’re better than everyone who’s not born and raised...

Fun Things
My parents are coming tomorrow. I’m super hyped that they’re getting the chance to visit. Gonna rent a car and leave work early so I can go pick them up for the airport. I’m gonna clean up my hotel room too cause it’s a mess.
Our friend James from Seattle is also coming to visit on the 24th. He came here like 2 months ago and I met him then. I have no idea how the hell...
I blew it - that’s the first thing I said when I saw that I could have a blog. I just left my home for 6 months to go live and work in Maui, Hawaii. I didn’t set up a blog, take pictures or anything. I have a month left here and like nothing but my memories to remember this place by.
Seriously not that big of a deal, except it woulda been cool if I had made a blog at the beginning for...
